And FYI ... A moment to remember and learn. I actually forgot.


You don't have to have a negative NAO to get blocking. We've had an Omega block in the U.S past week with systems slowed down and blocked from progressing East fast..


It's all because of the strong 1030mb High Pressure in the Atlantic/Ridge. Reason why NAO isn't showing to be negative is because the ridge of High Pressure is not near North Atlantic or Greenland.

I dont need 90s this time of year, I do need 70s! We havent even had 60 in like a week! Not upstate, not in the city, not anywhere!

For some strange reason I'm enjoying this. I realize how much I like very green landscapes no matter the weather. If this summer is hot and dry I'd rather we skip it. I'm hoping for a thunderstorm heavy avg summer. No prolonged heatwaves would be fine by me. I do not like brown summer landscapes and drought. No thank you.

Hey George, remember when you were going on and on in the Euro thread about cold hitting Europe. I just noticed that London is warmer than Chicago lol. Forecast high of 79F for London while Chicago can barely crack 70F tomorrow.

79 is significantly above average for London even in july. London's average high just reached 60 today lmao.

Very green? With the cold, many trees out of town still are bare or at least have tiny leaves
