Look at the map above. They are happening. It can't happen above every roof! That's why they call it "chance"

In late spring and summer, thunderstorms tend to be more scattered and convective in nature. So it's likely a thunderstorm occurred in the area, but not right over NYC. Anyway, it's not like they're predicting a 100% chance of storms or something. Even if they predict a 70% chance of storms, there's still a 30% chance that it won't happen lol.

Not at 7 AM. Or 9 AM. Dews look high, though. I thought it was a bit humid this morning. Dews were only in the mid 50s. Whoops. Not used to this.

And now you have this to deal with... Reds = Tropical downpours. This is showing where the atmosphere is loaded with moisture. Looks like Saturday night for you.

I love tropical storms, but not on Memorial day weekend!.oh well. Atmosphere lately has been solidly Nino. I love rain anyways so why not. Nothing of this summer left to salvage, ( already given up, feel like you do during December lol ), might as well get a nice storm.

AccuWeather says 74/61 on the 5th. Oh well.only nice thing on there is straight 90s from mid June to august(80 degree days mixed in but not too many) Lol. Funny AccuWeather, though that would be pretty normal and pretty likely. I'm tired of having to look at weather models for the next arctic outbreak with -15 departures. Summer is supposed to be a break from that stress.
