My cousin said there was lightning in Pelham. . Thunder now stopped hwre. Probably collapsing. Goodbye. Lol raining now. Should be quick
I saw one flash of lightning, oddly enough. Didn't see it pop up near me on the radar though. I heard a few rumbles of thunder as well, but nothing in the past 15 minutes or so. Hope we get some real storms this year.
Missed a big snowstorm today by about 175 miles. Thats all it takes for a hit or miss sometimes.
The clipper coming down was too slow. It should of merged with the coastal to allow it to come closer to the coast. Instead its seperate now and just weaken to snow showers for us tomorrow. Timing. Timing. Timing. Oh well.

Cold in Eastern U.S with a storm moving from Ohio Valley into the Northeast. All that green is snow and tons of it for New England, especially the mountains, but this is 11 days out.
Either way... Looks interesting coming up with cold and snow for someone.
Edit... Bonus... Tellies supporting the Cold East. Positive PNA (Ridge West) with a Negative NAO & EPO.
Dense fog this morning, just cleared up. Some heavy sounding rain last night around midnight, no thunder or lightning. Chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Warm March day forecast (64°F) but cold air is moving aloft, increasing lapse rates. From the NWS Boston discussion:
QUITE THE INTERESTING SETUP ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND FROM MID
AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING. UPPER LEVEL SHORTWAVE WITH 500 MB
TEMPERATURES DROPPING TO BELOW -30C WILL INDUCE IMPRESSIVE MID LEVEL
LAPSE RATES FOR THIS PART OF THE COUNTRY...BETWEEN 8 AND 9C/KM! THIS
WILL LIKELY INDUCE 500 J/KG OF SURFACE BASED CAPE AND TOTAL TOTALS
NEAR OR EVEN ABOVE 60.
WHILE THE ABOVE PARAMETERS ARE QUITE FAVORABLE FOR
CONVECTION...THERE ARE SOME LIMITING FACTORS. THE FIRST IS THAT DRY
WESTERLY FLOW JUST OFF THE DECK WILL ALLOW LOW LEVEL MOISTURE TO MIX
AND DEWPOINTS FALL THROUGH THE 30S. IN ADDITION...LOW LEVEL
CONVERGENCE IS RATHER WEAK.
DESPITE THE ABOVE LIMITING FACTORS...GIVEN EXTREME LAPSE RATES AND
INSTABILITY EXPECT TO SEE AT LEAST SOME HIT AND MISS SHOWERS DEVELOP
BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON AND PERHAPS ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. GIVEN
VERY COLD TEMPERATURES ALOFT AND INVERTED / SOUNDINGS...HEAVIER
SHOWERS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND 40 TO 50 MPH
WIND GUSTS WHETHER OR NOT THERE ASSOCIATED WITH LIGHTNING. IN
ADDITION...BUFKIT SHOWS AN EXTREMELY DEEP AND RARE MIXING WELL UP
INTO THE ATMOSPHERE. THEREFORE...A LOW RISK FOR AN ISOLATED
DAMAGING WIND GUST OR TWO OF 60 MPH EXISTS.
The council have started mowing grass verges, the smell of cut grass is strong. One of my favourite smells, along with ozone and petrol.
I thought I was the only one that liked the smell when you fill up the tank lol. I also love cut grass smell.
