Tomorrow seems like it will be a great 4th--high 80s and sunny with a night in the low 60s. Probably still dry and not too humid. Then the stormy and humid weather descends on us. And this year it'll be worse since I won't be used to humidity with all the dryness we've had. Fireworks have been going off for several hours and almost everyday this week. I like it but it could be annoying for many people.

Lol. It was actually weakening as the sun set. Now it's mostly a large area of steady rain.

I've been on a humidity roller coaster. Every day I was in Florida in mid-June the dewpoint hit 77 or higher. Then a dewpoint of 49 here last week and didn't make it past 55 for a couple days. Now it looks like many days of 70s coming this week, which is how it should be in July.

Had a lot of lightning and thunder here in Naples today, but only about 15 minutes of drizzle. Somewhat disappointing, but I guess on vacation it's ok to get mostly dry weather.

Naples was reporting 85F with a dewpoint of 79F at 10pm. Wow.

Yeah, been quite the warm and muggy night here. Back home, we're about to have 80-81 F lows for the entire week with only about 20-30% chance of storms. Yuck.

Lets take a look at where Richmond ended up with yesterdays High.

Since 1897 only 15 other years had a lower max temp in the month of July.

Yesterdays max of 71° is actually tied for 6th lowest. It's been over a decade since feeling that cool in July.

July 4-5, 2016 Storm Update: lol. Just practicing for Fall and Winter.

NAM on left
GFS in middle
EURO on right

Looks like NYC Metro area is the common bullseye area for heavier rains.. Ironically that's where the drought is. lol

MA looks like they could miss out on the rains. Might be just scattered stuff or drizzle only.

These maps are for Tuesday 8am but whenever you see precip on these model maps its for prior 3 or 6 hours depending on the model.

These are for prior 6 hours which means the rain amounts shown here are for 2-8am Tuesday.

Notice.. NAM model has the most precip. American models are such a friggin joke and they never seem to get fixed. But NAM was right on many big snowstorms though.

It says Friday 8am its going to be near 80°F. So we got some warm nights and mornings too and look at those dewpoints..

#Summer in CT.

No complaints though.... Looking forward to next weekend. Sunday looks like the better day.
