It's unbelievable. Tampa has been said to get the most lightning, but lately I don't think anywhere can compete with Lee & Collier counties when it comes to thunderstorm frequency.

Its expensive to produce so why should it be free.

I have access to it with AccuPro. Will check later.

You can pay to view it with other sources. Last thing I want is the public sharing wrong images for 4 weeks into the future. Lol predicting sea rise and global temps 10yrs from now is bad enough. Lolol

86 with a dew point of 79 as of 10:51, will check observation to see if we broke 80. Airport picked up rain yesterday now up to 7.95 inches for month. Today should put us over 8 inches. No break in the heat, August seriously looks to be warmer or match July this year. Currently our average high is 91.3, a degree above normal. Average high has begun to go down also from the peak of 90.4, currently for this date the average high is 90.2. We will drop below 90 second week of August for average high.

First of all.. who is "Jay".. does he know what he's looking at or talking about? Just curious.

Looking at the latest... I don't have access to an average map, just the temps and pattern every 12hrs till August 25th. He mentioned into September?? I don't think Euro goes that far.

What I am seeing is some back and forth action with a mid August heat surge again. Cool beginning and towards end. Maybe some nice days/nights coming!

This is for August 7th.. Single digits C° at 4500' down to great lakes.. impressive trough digging down to the south.

They are fighting fires in California... Monsoonal rains cannot move north with a High Pressure in that spot.

No Rain + Heat = Fires.

If that HP moves a bit north or East then some needed rains can enter Southern Cal

A front is moving down here today, that's why we have a shot at storms. Cloudy right now.

Kentucky is sandwiched between Gulf air and the jet stream on that map. Should be a great setup for generating storms.

I'm watching all that rain in Louisiana & Ozarks today. That moisture is moving to this region in 48hrs. Imagine if it was ... nevermind

lol. Yeah, I wouldn't read too much past August at this point but see Eric's comment to Ian. That's what I'm seeing. It's hot (It is still Summer), but there are breaks. Could the trough digs be coming back into the picture like June? Mmmmmmm

"looks more hot than not but some breaks mixed in, too"
