I think NYC NWS is basing this map pn yesterdays 'pushing south' models. Besides the low amounts it assumes the snow is done by 7am on saturday?

I'm wondering if the model consensus is moving the heavier amounts not only further south, but further inland?

Maybe the big east coast cities wont get the brunt of the storm??

Winter Storm watches have gone up in the Laurel Mountains of western PA. 6" expected Pittsburgh and southeast, with 12"+ in the Laurel Highlands.

Good weekend to pick for skiing a month ago!

I've heard SE Pa will get 12" to 18" or 1' to 2'. I guess that's worst case, they won't know until 24 hours before it hits. But farther south in Virginia and DC will bear the brunt of it. All we can do is stay tuned to Accuweather, I guess.

Yeah. I didn't say it earlier because i do not want to upset Cambium (), but i have the feeling that the Virginias will be the winners of this storm.
