I prefer Chicago because of the seasonality, the weather diversity, the summer, the sunshine hours and the extreme.

Despite Chicago's big sunshine advantage. I think I would choose Paris.

Chicago is just too cold for too long.

Paris has almost become acceptable in the summer (the winter remains boring though).

Still, I'd take Chicago.

Both are horrible. But at least Paris isn't extreme.

Then why is your "Paradise" climate equatorial?

That climate is for relaxation purposes as it is very stable. That is my view of a paradise. Some climates I like aren't paradises at all. If a climate is going to be stable it has to be cold all year or warm to hot year round not lukewarm to cool year round.
