My absolute favorite climate in the world (that I have found) is that of Hakkâri:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hakk%C3%A2ri#Climate

Another A+ climate that I have found nearby is that of Yüksekova:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y%C3%BCksekova#Climate

Outside of this general region it is really tough to find a climate that even comes close. I have found some here in the US but the diurnal ranges are somewhat high for my tastes but I still like them a lot overall.

Chester, California gets a low A from me:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheste...fornia#Climate

Sandpoint, Idaho also gets a low A:

All of those are A climates to me. However, Chester gets a lot of Snow, and I'm assuming Hakkâri and Yüksekova get even more. They're also very dry during the summer. I kinda like dry summers but not that dry. So Sandpoint gets the A+.

None are my "type", but Chester comes a bit closer for its milder winters.

Speaking of which, my ancestry is rooted in Yüksekova (which is a city in the Hakkâri province).

Wow, I've never found that one. Depending on the sunshine and snow that climate might actually be better than Chester and Sandpoint. I definitely rate it at least an A.

Thanks for showing me that.

Oops... I thought you meant Chester, England and voted for that one! I prefer the rain over snow.

Hakkari is a C-/D+ since those winters are so cold

Those Turkish ones are awesome climates. Sandpoint is good, but 103mm precipitation (for Jan) with average high of 0C equals only 57cm snow? Should be twice that. Chester actually gets more, although it would get a lot of daytime thawing.

But this is the king of dry-summer continental climates for me:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaghcharan

Less winter precipitation than the American ones, but less thawing. Summer is virtually brainless. And has large daily ranges to go with the large annual range.
