The Columbia River is a major river in the Pacific northwest. It flows through a variety of climates and so I decided to do a climate battle of the various cities found on its banks. I will start at its mouth and make my way inland. If you are unfamiliar with the columbia river here is an image of it's course.
Also because a lot of the cities on here don't have sunshine hours, I will give a link to Spokane to help you assess the inland cities of Washington, but since it's not on the columbia you can not vote for it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spokan...ington#Climate
The Dalles and Kennewick look best to me. Nice 4 season climates with warm/hot summers, cold but not too cold winters, and overall not too many precipitation days.
Portland is ok but a bit too oceanic for me, the cities after these two become a bit too dry, and the last ones are way too gloomy, especially winters.

I'm not certain but I think the mountains casting shadows on the valley floors play a roll on the gloominess of those cities.
Also Wenatchee and Brewster are both wetter than Kennewick.
Very nice climate, fantastic area, great skiing.
Revelstoke has great skiing too.
Interestingly, all the Washington State towns along
the Columbia, from North Port to Kennewick, imo have
a very similar climate to Osoyoos, BC
Just shows how warm Osoyoos is,
even Kennewick is only significantly warmer a couple of months in winter.
