I swear Miami is a hole when it comes to anything interesting. What a waste of what could have been a stormy day.

Your "solar" time : just after 6:30 - so your 8am may feel as early as that time in the morning

My mums cat, which is also my best mate, a great source of amusement and an all round furry little bugger is now 10 years old. He hitched a ride in my dad's car engine on a trip home from his workplace a decade ago. One day after school we could hear a faint meow and my folks, bro and some family friends got together and eventually located a tiny kitten in the engine block. I still remember my brother crawling under the car to retrieve him
Yeah I think it would be harder if it was a dog as they tend to be more sociable than cats, but still it's put a downer on my day!

That sucks having two put down within that amount of time! Right now I just feel like drinking and sitting in my room tbh

Ah I feel for you man. We don't currently have any pets, although we had a cat go missing about 2 years ago. I still miss him too.
I'll share this one with you though. When I lived in Somerset, we lived in a little quiet village. Anyway, I came home from work one day, pulled into our driveway, and felt a bump. I got out and saw that I'd run over our next door neighbours cat. Poor thing must've ran out of the bushes as I pulled in, but unfortunately the front wheels, with a big 5.0 V10 under the bonnet, went straight over it's back. Felt awful carrying him next door to explain what had happened.
To make matters worse, only a couple of months later I was driving on the country road back to our village, maybe half a mile from home, and a cat burst across the road in front of me and I hit it at about 50 or 60mph. I got out but I couldn't find it anywhere. I later found out it was our next door neighbours cat(again) and that it had made it home but with terrible injuries, so had to be put to sleep. Bloody nightmare. Somehow managed to kill two cats belonging to the same neighbours. Other than a rat(I think), that's the only time I've hit anything whilst driving.

Both of my dogs are getting quite old - one is 11 and the other is 12. I pretty much grew up with them and when they go I'll miss them I guess I just have to enjoy the time that they have left to the max.

Losing a pet is sad. I don't own a pet, but a friend of mine did. I remember playing with him (with the dog) when I was in first grade, he was so small. We (me, the pet and the friend) used to run together and had so much fun. He recently (2016) died, and all my childhood/teenage was gone. I was really sad for a couple of days, then that feeling went away. It's part of life, unfortunately.
