I was in the middle of a game and everything suddenly shut down and a Windows 10 update was about to be installed. Disaster was averted as I quickly turned it off. Still have Windows 7...for now.

Phew, that was close. Press the icon "get windows 10". The pop-up says do you want to install? There's "upgrade now", "upgrade tonight" and "choose time". Press choose time, and in the next screen press "turn timed upgrade off". Doing that it won't harass you with attempting to sneak-install it.

Thanks for the tip.

I just turn off Windows automatic updates to avoid bulls**t like this.
Yeah, but you have to remember to install the updates manually. I usually turn my computer only in sleep mode boot maybe once a week, you are suddenly overwhealmed with 1000 updates which take an hour to install.

I haven't played Sim City in a (long) while, but I hated how small the maps were. I want to give Cities Skylines and Planet Coaster a try once I get a new computer.
