So do we, on paper. But the immaterial benefits like the internal tax-free market are a huge plus both for Britain and Finland. IDK how much the UK pays more than it gets, but for us it was €145 per person in 2014. I'm ok with that.
Hmmm, my eyesight is fine and I have no trouble seeing other cars during daylight, for me it is just pointless having headlights on all day

Yeah, I understand the benefits through the tax-free market and things like that, but there is a lot that I do not agree with. I think the UK each year pays £13 billion to the EU and gets about £4.5billion back, so our net contribution is about £8.5 billion each year. I do not like how there are unelected officals, how EU law can override our own laws, all the red tape etc

I will be voting to leave. I don't particularly like the current situation. I don't think we will leave though.

I was reading an article recently that kind of debunked the idea that the UK gets a raw deal and vastly pays more than it gets in return because of the immaterial benefits it receives from being a member. I'll try and find it. The UK pays a lot, as do other wealthy members, but that's how it goes. In the UK, London and the Home Counties pay more than they receive, while most northern counties take out more than they put in. The better-off areas help out the less well-off areas.

Anyway, I'm voting to stay in, and there isn't much that could sway my into the opposite camp.

That's how it goes in the U.S., on a national and state level.

So the net payment per person is €165 annually for UK residents, 20 bucks more than for us.

Well, of course there would be use for that money, but rather a peaceful Europe than for example Poland, Romania and Greece turning into military dictatorship or mafia states.

And same here too. Southern Finland and Central subsidises Eastern and Northern Finland.

I'll be voting to stay in the EU. We do need big changes, but I think we are better off in. Most people who are voting out are doing so because of the refugee/immigration crisis, but what they don't realise is that the UK would still have to take in refugees anyway...

How are you going to vote? They are voting out because they want to gain back control of our borders, it's more that than refugees. We have too many Eastern Europeans now.

Why do you think Polish leaders are always furious at the suggestion of us leaving?

I'm kinda excited for clocks to go forward due to the late sunsets but at the same time I always feel like my days go by too fast afterwards.

I always end up waking up way too late also.
