This is a cool poll, Case. I voted for the same as usual. Our summers are warm enough, but not nearly long enough.
I just voted on my own immediate area though. The Black Hills have had about seven years of drought. Last year wasn't quite so bad cause they did get some rain, but it was so brown out that way compared to normal. I hope they start getting plenty of rain.
Lucky!
Some years our summers can be hardly "swimmable" with most days from the mid 60's to low 70's and other years can be quite sweaty and very swimmable, most days in the high 70's to low 90's.
Some years mid-summer swimmable-weather started in the end of August and carried on through mid September, with June and July being spring-like and chilly.
Our summers are rarely ever long enough, except in 1990 shorts and t-shirt weather started early April and lasted until mid October.
That was a real treat. Did South Dakota get a long summer that year?

I don't remember. Generally April and May start warming up and springtime is nice here. June, July, and August are usually nice and warm. Our daytime temps are between 75 and 90 most days. Sept. and Oct. are nice autumn months. A few years ago we had a really chilly summer. I remember having to wear jeans instead of shorts a few days that year so it had to be below 60 for the high. We were afraid we'd have an awfully cold winter, but surprisingly it was very nice.
We actually can get some pretty hot days, too. Generally we have a few days that are 100 or even a bit over.

The thought of summer in Houston makes me want to throw up! I HATE summer here!!!!!
I got that bucket handy. You need it?
I LOVE summer, as long as the temps dont go above 80-82 degrees. Above that and I start to get uncomfortable. I remember a few nights last year where our LOW was in the 80s. UGH.

Steve-o, we need it. Bring about four bags of ice to Houston, three bags to Dallas, and two each to Austin, San Antonio, Wichita Falls, Lubbock, El Paso.......
