That's very interesting. Alabama sure rates high for a death toll considering that it isn't that large of a state.

Thanks for posting- this helps a lot w/ my moving considerations. Although I could live a much easier life in Texas I wouldn't enjoy the tornadoes. Ohio is a surprise on that list, & I don't know how Illinois has more than Missouri.

Sundance, I wouldn't let the fact that Texas is number one for tornado fatalities deter me from living there. They're a huge state with a much higher population then most states have so they're bound to have more tornadoes with that much land area.

BE2 is on a distinguished road
Has a person ever been sucked up into a tornado and if so what happens to their flesh and bone? Do the bones break apart, explode or would the person suffocate?

There have actually been tornado survivors. Hopefully someone will remember more about this, but there was a young girl and her horse, I believe, that were sucked up into a tornado and thrown out of it. Also, another young person that survived it. Anyone remember those events?

Not 100% sure but if there are more fatalities, sometimes that is connected to mobile home parks being involved as mobile homes offer no protection during a tornado.
