Cold air would pool up on the northern side of the wall (if it is say 500m tall) creating a microclimate 1-2km north of wall where summers and much cooler (say max: 22-23˚C and min: 9-10˚C). Snow would pile up on the northern side of the wall while the south would be (100-200m south of the wall) rain/snow shadowed.
