Very good battle. I take the Scottish one actually, it's not worth braving that freezing winter in the Canadian one for a lackluster summer.

No subarctic winters and the fact that the Scottish accent is just brilliant works in favor for Banff in Scotland.

Both are F climates but I'll take the Scottish one by a hair because even the Canadian one doesn't have warm enough or long enough summers to make up for those brutal winters.

Talk about overdramatic. It's not like it's Verkhoyansk.

I choose the Canadian one, it actually gets some weather that I like. The Scottish one has no redeeming qualities.

Banff Alberta

It's at about the same elevation as the highest point in Scotland, Ben Nevis.

I'm familiar with both....I have a cousin who went to school in Banff, Scotland.
I've been to Banff, Alberta a lot....love it, would live there easily.

Can't climb mountains and ski in Banff, Scotland....

Here's a couple of Banff Alberta pics...
