Agreed. Definitely would rather have a cold December than an cold November. 2013 however had a cold November and December in the Midwest

Lol. April 2015 was not a winter month. February had a average high of 21.0, April had an average high of 53.9. That's 32 degrees warmer and almost 20 degrees warmer than march. In fact, April 2015 was closer to July than to January or February. It also made up to 74. It was al it's excactly in between January and July and was very much transitional and quite different from the actual winter months. Pretty much the definition of a spring month. It may have had some wintry weather on a handful of days, but overall it, and any April, was far from a winter month.

It also reached 72 degrees on Christmas in NYC in 2015. Does that mean that December 2015 wasn't a winter month?

Gees, I walked outside and felt very lucky.. Ground was wet and my rain gauge had over 1/4" of rain had fallen. Quite a surprise!

Drizzling with the stars out. Always cool. Clouds to my West, Clear to the north

Nobody else in the region got heavy rain.

Last time I checked April is a spring month....

Finally this upper level low is gone. It's been dreary as ****!

Some sun to emerge after Tuesday’s cloudy open; only 224 minutes of sun here since last Wednesday; 80° highs Wed./Thurs. ahead of late week/weekend temp downtown; Hurricane Matthew to track perilously close to East Coast | Chicago Weather Cente

Yeah..... NY hitting 72 on Xmas eve was sort of an extreme event. And isn't April a spring month?
