Highs ranging from the high 80s to low 90s and lows in the low 70s, flirting with the high 60s. We had rain on the 1st. No rain for now. Can't complain, it's only the beginning of fall.

Last September sucked, I hope this one is cooler, much cooler. Our average low in late September is in the high 50s. We didn't even reach 60 last year.

Right now it's up to 88F with a dewpoint of 68F and a mostly clear sky.
It's been partly cloudy here since 7 PM yesterday. My high today was 85 F and we've now dropped to 73 F. Really nice out.

November 2014 was actually colder than December 2014 across a good portion of the US. Typhoon recurves in the Pacific were supposedly responsible for the abnormally cold weather that November.

Fall foliage? Did you really spend your entire youth in south Florida? Northern Florida around Tally, Gainesville, and Jacksonville actually do have a decent number of deciduous trees that change come December, and it's honestly not that far of a drive north from Miami, only about 5-7 hours, enough for a weekend visit.

Looking at the models waiting for those crisp fall like days I see 2 things happening.

1. No more heat in northeast but 80s still happening.
2. Canada is getting chilled down big time and is below normal. That will bode well for when the jet dips.

Not all of Canada getting chilled....western Canada yes,
My neck of the woods no .....warm up starting Monday, high 80s to low 90s (30 to 33C),
I'm guess CT will see some that heat too.

Not focused on Western Canada just yet. I need to see at least Northern or Central Canada cooling down.

This is what I am waiting for and seeing... That 540-534-522 thickness line is dropping south. Nice to see in September. Just gotta get those dips here now.

I believe around mid month it starts... Nothing extreme at all, just a remind that Fall is here.

And heres how below normal the heights are. And yes... that's the real Polar Vortex over Hudson Bay there. Impressive Height falls!

Let the cold build in Canada and I have a chance to come back to life. Summer physically and mentally killed me

Below 50???? I haven't been below 50 since May 20th! I haven't even been dropping below 60 at all.

I Haven't been below 60° since August 23rd (59 ) and before that was July 4th!!! (59 )... so it's been since June pretty much. The misery continues... At least the max 70s felt ok. But look whats coming. Pure misery.

And the storm shifted East more which means don't expect much now..

I FRIGGIN NEED A BLAST OF POLAR AIR MORE THAN YOU GUYS KNOW. I don't do well with a normal summer, imagine a Summer like we just had. Disgusting for this latitude & location.

Huh? The sun's out now, and my phone forecast shows no rain. What happened to that hurricane? I guess just the shore is getting it now?

Nei lives in a frost hollow, has a relatively big dirunal range compared to Bridgeport,
also compared to my area, interestingly, Burlington, ON and Amherst, MA have identical mean annual
temps, 9C (48F) but my city has much milder lows, Amherst warmer highs.
Average september low for Amherst is 48F.....average September low for Burlington is 54F

my misery continues. After mid month things look better for me. Thats why I need Canada to cool down! Will make things even more interesting in Northeast. Keep that Vortex on N. AMERICA side!!

And lets hope this hurricane off the coast is turning over cold waters because otherwise we'll keep breaking record lows here in Fall with how warm those waters are off the coast!!
