As annoying as warm weather is this time of the year, it doesn't feel as bad with the weaker sun.
Highs for the next seven days generally around 70 F/21 C and maybe a couple cooler days. Perhaps the first 30s of the season Sunday night/Monday morning.
Raleigh hasn't been below 70 since September 17! But most of the recent highs have been below normal.
It's been pretty hot in Norman, too. The past few days have been in the upper 80s. But with scattered clouds and a decreasing sun angle, it doesn't feel too bad. We may struggle to get out of the 60s on Monday.
Upstate New York might be the only cold area in the eastern 2/3rds around right now. Birmingham hit 98F.... I hit 83F, MDW a "cooler" (yet above average) 75F as winds were off the lake. Maybe I'll hype the cold when I actually get some Cambium....
I'm so glad the northwest is finally seeing sustained below average temperatures. You guys in the northeast us had sustained below average temperatures from 2013-2015, including your record cold/snowy Jan-Mar in 2014 and 15. Out west, the past 4 years have been horrible, so I'm hoping for colder than normal temps through to at least this winter .
