That's not a four season climate (but it is an amazing climate, A+ from me). A four season climate would be places like Osoyoos, Baku, Washington DC, most of Kentucky and Tennessee, Asheville, etc. Boston would be the coldest place I would call "four season", and even Boston is pushing it because of how much snowfall it gets in April
Let's say that this is mostly subjective, so, please, don't feel offended by other people's definitions, everyone has their own right to express theirselves
True, maybe four season is just one of those things no one could agree on since everyone has a different definition of it
I think NYC and is a good balanced 4 season climate that gets wintry weather but that winter doesn't drag on too long.
On most years NYC is a solid example of a 4 season climate. March can be a bit crazy but the spring is clearly spring-like and fall is well defined too
I would consider Des Moines a good example of a four season climate. Has cold winter but by April the average high is above 60 F, hot and humid summers with cool falls. It's also the climate that I think would satisfy both cold and heat lovers.

Actually I Agree, that's the perfect example of a four season climate. Kansas City is another good one even though maybe it's winters are a bit mild for those who like cold weather
I don't think NYC is a good example of a 4 season climate. Summer is stronger than winter, and the shoulder seasons are too variable and short.
I agree, it's not a popular opinion but I would definitely say NYC is somewhat summer dominated. Warm/hot weather in summer is more of a guarantee than cold weather in winter, that's why I think Des Moines is a better example.
