It's clear

True, maybe four season is just one of those things no one could agree on since everyone has a different definition of it

On most years NYC is a solid example of a 4 season climate. March can be a bit crazy but the spring is clearly spring-like and fall is well defined too

I would consider Des Moines a good example of a four season climate. Has cold winter but by April the average high is above 60 F, hot and humid summers with cool falls. It's also the climate that I think would satisfy both cold and heat lovers.

Actually I Agree, that's the perfect example of a four season climate. Kansas City is another good one even though maybe it's winters are a bit mild for those who like cold weather

I don't think NYC is a good example of a 4 season climate. Summer is stronger than winter, and the shoulder seasons are too variable and short.

Which climate do you think is a good example?

I agree, it's not a popular opinion but I would definitely say NYC is somewhat summer dominated. Warm/hot weather in summer is more of a guarantee than cold weather in winter, that's why I think Des Moines is a better example.
