Same as in NYC. My personal favorite in NYC are the ethnic bakeries. At a nice Italian or Colombian bakery you could get a big iced coffee and a nice pastry or cheese bread for under $5. A nice cannoli or pan de bono beats an overpriced slice of bread at Starbucks any day

There is a really pretentious restaurant out here & all the people that think they are really cool & hip go there It sells ridiculously over-priced food & combinations of food that make me feel like throwing up just thinking about it (like an octopus burger!). Their latest fad is a burger that costs €50 because it is made from Japanese Wagyu Kobe beef I mean ffs, it's a ****ing burger, I can get a burger, with fries & side salad in one of my local restaurants for €5 that tastes bloody amazing, who would pay that much for a ****ing burger?!?

Omg, European and Turkish bakeries are really common here in the west of Melbourne and they sell the best sh*t for cheap prices

I have one near me, I got 4 ciabatta rolls for like $3 and they're amazing

$2 vanilla slices as well, even if you're poor here you can eat like a king from these bakeries

Turkish bakeries indeed have the best **** for cheap prices. There are tons of these bakeries in Western Queens, I love getting a coffee and some baklava from them. There is a Moroccan (I think) bakery where they sell like a million different types of baklava, then some sort of cheesy honey dessert which tastes like cocaine. ****ing love it

Most expensive burger I've seen here is $28AUD (€19), but it had like 2 beef and 2 fried chicken patties with a large chips and shake lol. My friend ate it and complained of chest pains later :/

My favourite restaurant on the seafront here does their own special burger, with a grillsteak patty, bacon, cheese & onions, served on a ciabatta with fries & salad for €8 Even McDonald's is more expensive than this place lol
