Well, what do you expect when the normal daily low hits 86°? A 90° low here is like a 70° low in Chicago
No, more like a low of 75F. We average 26 days at or above 70F. This year we've had 51 days at or above 70F at Chicago/Midway airport, and 10 days at or above 75F for minimum temp.

I was referring to the departure from avg, not the number of occurances
^^
Um where is MDW'S 26 days at or above 90F on that map? Kankakee was close to that too, but we have a week's worth of data missing which happened to occur during the July hot spell.

What happen to the 80's and 90's this year? To this date ( Jan 1st, 2016- Today) only 19 days with 80F+ and only 1 day with 90F+. It has been a lot cooler compared to the last 2 years.
Compared to last year from January 1st, 2015 through September 11th, 2015, Santa Maria had 49 days with 80F+ and 7 days with 90+.
From January 1st through September 11th, 2014, 38 days with 80F+, 8 days with 90F+ and 2 days with 100F+.
Where did the 99 percent come from? Any graphs or trends you can show me in Europe?
Of course he can't. The "warming" is basically whole cloth. If London, Oslo, Bordeaux or Dublin, oceanic cities on the European side of the Atlantic with long-term temperature records were experiencing anything like that kind of warming they'd be citing it liberally.

Meanwhile, today is Raleigh's 63rd 90 degree day, putting it in eleventh place. Today is Oklahoma City's 80th 90 degree day, putting it in 33rd place.
New York just registered its 21st day over 90, placing it just about the mean but nowhere near such years as 1988 or 2002 (32 days I think), 1944 (37 days) or 1991 or 1993 (39 days).
