I'm not an expert on vegetation, so I'm not exactly offended. However, surely it will delay the budding progress won't it? I want things to bud, flower and leaf, not hibernate because of cold snaps.
I'd love to get more information about the potential effects of this cold snap than just a facepalm.

Well prices are a very serious issue. After spending half a year in South America I'm much more conscious about how I spend the money. I used to think nothing of spending 20 dollars on eating out, or spending 70 dollars to go hang out in the city, but now I feel awful doing that. Knowing that in other parts of the world, 20 dollars worth of food is gonna be enough to last you days, or knowing that 70 dollars is the cost of a plane ticket, as opposed to a bus ticket. I don't spend money like I used to
