The smoking culture here is completely different than in the UK, most Maltese people smoke & it's still considered a cool/sexy thing to do, I guess due to the Italian influence, no idea why though, if people who smoked knew how rank they smell I'm sure they would give up
Smoking is common among British university students.

Not really common. For people your age the smoking prevalence rate is is around 23-24%. It's highest for people age 25-34.

might there be a large difference among college students vs non-college students?

The smell of cigarettes on a university campus that banned smoking is the smell of freedom.

I suspect it would be higher for non-college students. Smoking prevalence increases with descending income, and non-college students usually come from poorer backgrounds.

Here, have a Christmas gift:

I won't be here in 10 years I think. At my age, threads like these starts to become a strain on my poor heart: Do you think Angela Merkel even cares about the people that have suffered due to her?

Here it's clearly a social thing these days. The working class smokes a lot more than the middle class.

You don't go to university, I do. A paper released by the university estimated that 35-45% of students smoke at my university.

It's a big thing there.

(Idk why, they all stink with their cheap cigarettes )
