You can get a 3 story house with lots of land for as cheap as 350k. The area is cheap overall. Land out here is cheap too might have to buy some soon.
Chapel hill is beautiful but is ridiculously expensive and ridiculously liberal. most homes in the actual town are 800,000 and 1 million + and very gentrified but pretty much marxist and left wing college town politics? huge basketball, football town, shuts down on game days, I played lacrosse and carolina just won lacrosse ncaa title. duke and carolina and the acc is huge in lacrosse, when the acc added syracuse with duke and carolina and virginia it just dominates lacrosse

I like asheville better, much less expensive and mountains and less frat/posh/ preppie than unc and chapel hill. Last time I went , we paddled our canoes up to bywater bar, watched movies outside, people bring their dogs, tons of breweries and stuff to do, very cool town. this where bob moog who built moog synths even lived and retired and very cool factory

this is the ticket. One of the best videos i have seen on yelp lol

just found this on her friends blog. french broad river flows right up to the bywater bar. french settlement near there I think was the reason for the name, I think the french broad is like the third oldest river in the world. very cool name for a river, the south has a lot of french influence.

great canoe trip up to by water bar and Asheville

cool movies outdoors

this was my favorite bar in downtown

Yes, often liberal towns and cities are the 'cool' places where a lot of people want to live.

Runs per game in MLB are up this year, like way up. Up to 4.45 a game, up from 4.07 two years ago. You could really tell too, balls are flying out compared to the past few years!

Unfortunately for you it's gonna be a while . At this point I start missing winter, I really love bright sunny winter days. Just so peaceful. I'm not sick of summer though, in fact I wish it would last a bit longer. I'm kind of getting excited because come October the weather normally becomes great for days at the park and lake.

Not long at all for me. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be getting an early start to fall rather than a "last hoorah" of summer.

I think September will be warmer, here it seems the heat stops next week, it keeps getting pushed back though.

I'm still waiting for a day that has a high below 90 F and a low below 70 F. Don't know when that day will come.
