Irish diaspora in England do this also..(don't know why they don't do this in America/Australia).. Coleen Nolan is a prime example.

Yes & no one is denying that, the point that most feel strange is that you actually consider yourself Ukrainian over American.
No. I'm Ukrainian-American. "American" is not an ethnicity.

I'm far from the only Ukrainian in the diaspora who wasn't born there, and even whose parents weren't. Read up on the isolated Ukrainian communities in Brazil, for example. It's not about where you were born, but your heritage.

Citizenship doesn't count so to speak, the equivalent would be me moving to the US, gaining American citizenship and saying that I'm 'American' despite the fact that I was born in the United Kingdom.
If you were born in a stable, does that make you a horse?

Sorry but you are not going to convince anyone else. We will have to agree to disagree as you obviously cannot see the points of anyone else...

This runs far deeper than you realize. Seriously, the words of some pseudonymous strangers are not very meaningful.

Don't know where students at my university get the money to live such a 'lavish' (for students) lifestyle. Must be going deep into overdrafts.

Feel like theres a lot of 'keeping up with the jones' going on.

There's the tiniest little pile of snow in my workplace parking lot. Size seems largely the same as yesterday. Surprisingly still around. Hopefully it's still there tomorrow LOL
