This time next year you might be able to fly to Perfffffff non-stop from London for the first time. It's 17.5 hours, still bet it will increase visitor numbers a fair bit though.
The majority think this, galaxyman/beerparty just didn't fit in here. Doesn't bother me as I like it here.
Daniel Andrews and the other Labor cretins before him single-handedly turned the place into a hole. Unfortunately, all the illegal african/middle eastern/terrorist immigrants and boat people don't know any better and will vote for the scum that welcomed them with open arms and give them free money, and who removed bail conditions...
the place has record crime thanks to the deads**t government of Daniel Andrews, it's full of ethnic enclaves that can never assimilate into the Australian way of life, and Daniel Andrews gives them the benefit of the doubt. The place started going downhill when Kennett was voted out. He was the last great premier of the state and the last politician who actually cared about Melbourne, Victoria and its people and who actually had vision for the state. The labor leftist bastard cretins who were continually elected by the braindead ethnic (illegal) immigrant/african/muslim/asian population who'd rather breed and live of their children's welfare income than work subsequently have completely decimated the place by continually electing the labor left garbage, such as Daniel Andrews, that offers them all this, and removes bail conditions for ethnic gangs and crime.
Melbourne used to be a great place to live, aside from the climate. These days, Victoria is still a nice place, as long as you are well away from Melbourne. This is one time when it is a GOOD thing that the government does not give a crap about country areas.
There were (or maybe still are?) female-only train carriages in Germany. I think the rationale behind it was that women will feel safer if they don't have to share public transport with men, since men are more likely to attack them than vice versa.
An Eastern German rail company did that as a protest on a few lines for awhile. Meanwhile the Japanese railways have gender-segregated carriages all the time, as the men cannot keep their hands to themselves when they are watching tentacle/pedophilia porn on their smartphones.
The difference is that "ladies first" was society's way of counterbalancing the fact that women weren't allowed to do certain things. Women-only parking spaces were brought in long after German women had equal treatment under the law.
odd; usually feminist-types are the ones to get offended by "men doing nice stuff women" such opening doors, etc.
Three hours less than it used to be though, and it's a new stop-off point for going to the rest of Australia.
It's going to be on a 9-abreast 787 though, one of the worst cattle classes in the sky today, along with the 10-abreast 777. I flew a 10-abreast Etihad 777 from Melbourne to Abu Dhabi last year, with an AirBerlin A320 connection to Vienna. The A320 economy class was like business class in comparison to the 777 sardine can. No joke. I honestly don't know how these so-called 5 star airlines can get away with this disgusting configuration on these marathon flights.
On any future trips, I will actively avoid 777 (unless 9-abreast) and 787s, and seek out A380's, A350s, A330's and A320s.

men shouldn't work in childcare, just as women shouldn't work in law enforcement or the military. i have no problem with that. that's just the way it is.
