For me it was the opposite, I had really average grades. They weren't bad, but my grades were like the 20-25% percentile in the school, while my test score was literally like the third highest in my grade
I was the same way for the most part, except my grades were all over the place. My overall average would be a 72 one semester, then 100 (literally, my highest), and then an 85, a 75, and so on. I'd be acing advanced science, English, & social studies classes, with test scores among the top 10-15 in my grade (in a school of 3000+), and at the same time I'd be barely passing (or failing) subjects like Spanish and music, because they didn't interest me.

Interesting, your school system (and the ones described some pages ago) sounds completely different from our.
Saw this on reddit.. it's where people can draw things on a canvas, but you can only place one pixel at a time, before waiting 5 minutes to place another. It's pretty impressive, I have to admit. The American flag got defaced pretty hard, lol.

I can understand/get the general idea of something in French if it's written down, but I can't speak it at all.
I thought RE was a waste of time and put zero effort in.
My favourite subjects were physics, chemistry and geography.
What's RE? My favorite subject was Geography. Somehow I liked French more and more over the years.
Ironically I didn't like maths and terrible grades at some point yet chose to follow math-heavy studies.
