Idk, there are barely any bugs on the pacific coast here in South America, there is something about the climate they must not like

Moscow was horrible too in the summer, especially out in the farms it was like a swarm of mosquitoes

Dryness probably deters bugs, also a lack of dense vegetation perhaps.

I think we've got better recently. No threads who trigger middle-aged republican housewives to give their meaningful opinion. "Well there's no global warming, it was 157F in Hicksville, AL in 1970 too, and we had tornadoes every day".

Yeah, there's been less of that, but I feel like "regulars" are getting dumber. I.E. "So and so place is colder than so and so place because winter is 1 C colder despite the fact the annual mean is 5 C warmer"

Just had to get some dollars from the bureau de change and I didn't realise how weird they are, the notes are so long and much more paper-like than our notes
