At least golf requires some physicality. A powerful swing requires a lot of physical strength and coordination. Tiger Woods had an explosive style, but now the years of physical strain have caught up with him.
I find golf and NASCAR about as exciting as having to watch porn instead of actually getting laid.
Honestly, baseball and basketball are probably the only sports I like to watch. I find football (American) pretty boring (, I know, shocker) hockey is good for the fights.
Golf is just far more complex, and that's what I like. Plus, I sorta grew up playing and watching it. It offers so much more viewing excitement if you actually pay attention to it.
I also like the aesthetics of golf. More enjoyable than other sports that tend to be trashier.
The first F1 race of this year was boring as ****. No crashes, no exciting overtaking, and the field was seperated by kilometers after the first couple laps just like in the bad old days.
Last year's season was fantastic, overtaking galore, half the field wasn't lapped after the first couple laps like in all the earlier seasons, lots of action and risky maneuvers. Really enjoyed the 2016 season and IMO was the most exciting in years. I cannot remember the last time I seen an F1 season as exciting as 2016. It all started with Alonso's near-fatality at the Australian GP. The Baku race was enthralling aswell, incredibly narrow streets and corners, yet not a single incident. Crazy.
I find actually playing sports 5,000,000 times funner than sitting there watching them.......unless you're watching it and getting drunk in the process.
