Bermuda's period of record is old. I think there's somewhere in Bermuda that ekes it out. Inukjuak isn't polar by that great of a margin - 0.6 extra C / 1.1 extra F and it would be subarctic.

I do use the American spelling for words ending with -ize/-ise. We do say Z as instead of S.

I also write "offense" when saying 'no offense'.

Because "offence" sounds like what we call a wrongdoing or some crime.

This summer is wearing on me. I'm ready for October-November and Laramie temperatures. Laramie's a TV show that ran from 1959-1963 (that my grandmother watches!). Because of that and the fact that I associate Laramie with a cool, sunny High Plains day, I call 59-63 F / 15-17 C Laramie temperatures.

After all, in Laramie, Wyoming, you'll see those temperatures during the day at some point on most days from May to September. 61/34 in May - you'll see them during the afternoon, when the temperature peaks. 80/48 in July - you'll see them in mid-morning.

I don't want them year round, but after four months of non-stop 80+ F / 27+ C highs, I want a few during the fall before we go into winter and cold.
