Mean temperature is on -16.1°C. If we get average conditions from here on in the mean will end up around -13°C. The last time we had a colder month was February 2014--almost three years ago.
Here's Edmonton plotted out for this month. There's archives for other months with the link. It's in F° though.
Winter is coming... didn't realize it was so mild just a bit further south
L!M!A!O! They have 57 for NYC Sunday?? LMAO. Not even NWS has that. They have 51. Yes, that's what happens with storms that cut to the Great Lakes. Warm surge in front of the cold front. Did I tell you how much I hate Lake Cutters???
North Carolina was in the 60s yesterday but only 4 times above normal this month with the max. Dipped down in the 20s 3 times.
Coastal storm tonight. If north more, Im getting a little snow from it.
If its gonna feel like 0°F in NYC I have a feeling what it will be here. Lol. Maybe WC advisory criteria?

Tonight: The local area will be sandwiched between an upper lvl
short wave moving north of the area and low pressure developing
off the southern mid atlantic coast. Included low chc POPs for
snow showers W and N of NYC including Southern CT and low chc POPs
for rain and snow showers along the coast. No accumulations are
forecast at this time. NOTE that if low pressure develops farther
north than predicted, the precipitation would be more widespread
with light accumulations.
/WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY/...
An arctic cold front moves through Wednesday night, followed by an
upper trough axis and a shortwave on Thursday and another cold
front/surface trough Thursday night. Lift and instability from these
features warrant slight chance to chance PoPs for snow showers
during this period. Windy conditions will contribute to wind chill
values averaging around 10 above late Wednesday night and Thursday,
and plummeting to around zero in the city Thursday night. Some of
the northern suburbs will be close to wind chill advisory criteria
Thursday night. There is even a chance for a brief period of wind
gusts near advisory criteria late Thursday night into early Friday
morning with the second shot of cold air advection. Temperatures
during this period will be well below normal, this trend will
continue into Friday, but at least with diminishing winds and dry
conditions
