Roads, walkways and driveways are all whiteish now from all the salt needed.

Also, snow still sticking on horizontal objects and trees. Thats special to see. You know its cold.
The residential roads still have lots of ice on them. Not as much as they had this morning. About half the roads were snow & ice covered then. I was doing about half the speed limit.

Definitely feels much colder than the temps would suggest. -5° normally isnt anything special, now it feels more like -12°

Snowpack should be gone by end of week south of NJ I think.

Um, I don't think that's right.

Most forecasts are showing 52-55 for Rochester on Thursday, not sure where they're getting 41.

Maybe it's a mean and not a high?

At least it's not too cold in the lower-48 States. Well, it does get cold in some places down there. There is another cold front moving toward Fairbanks, Alaska. It's possible that the temperature will drop perhaps to -20 to -45 (the latter in the valleys) by the weekend. On the hills around Fairbanks it stays any where from10 to 20 degrees warmer than in the low areas in Fairbanks and vicinity.

It's 9F (-13 C) here this morning. Now it looks like the forecast is indicating more snow on Saturday. 1-3 inches snow accumulation possible. Predicted high has dropped, so possibly more of a pure snow event.

Coast not typically cooler than inland.

A look at the current temps & comparing to where the deeper fresher snowpack is from Saturdays storm. + add High pressure now leaving off the coast

Notice the teens in NC, VA, DE and single digits NJ, Long Island into Southern New England.

(I hope Nei doesn't ask me why again since I mentioned it 7 times in 3 days LOL)

7.5° low this morning, 6.2°season low yesterday. Incredible what High Pressure and a fresh snowpack does. (8 times now )

6°F Atlantic City. 9° New Haven.

7am temps look zoomed out a bit.
