I wouldn't call that a bit chilly, unless you are saying that is a bit chilly by Alaskan standards the 7 day forecast for Indianapolis is calling for milder than average weather until the middle of next week
Had 1.97 inches of rain today so far and more coming tonight and tomorrow. I didn't hear any thunder during the day, although I heard some early this morning that woke me up.
NWS is calling for another 1-3 inches areawide thru tomorrow with locally higher amounts. Marginal severe threat.
In 2014 and 2015 Alaska was baking in warmth and somehow all that warmth magically died once it reached the Rockies
Back decades ago before climate became even warmer and the blob existed, cold air that was that strong in Alaska would tend to move southward over the US in waves. Not always, but usually.
