Can't be winter yet for about a month.

I don't use the calendar seasons, most people don't. Imo, winter is from November 21st thru March 10th. That is generally the coldest 25% of the year. Summer from June 1st thru Sept 30th, being the warmest 25%, leaving the shoulder seasons (middle 50%) from March 11th thru May 31st (Spring) and Oct 1st thru Nov 20th (Fall)

On the bright side, tomorrow looks a lot better than the last 3 days, sunny with highs around 50F.

A few tidbits on what my gut feeling is telling me how the winter of 2016-2017 may turn out to be in Indianapolis and across central Indiana: Colder than last winter and with more snow and ice, but much closer to typical winter weather conditions here, I predict that there will likely be a few nights that will bottom out with sub zero morning lows(my current guesstimate is for morning lows of between 0F and - 5F), and I predict that precipitation for this winter will be slightly above average, I predict that overall temperatures will also be within 1 Degree Fahrenheit of average for Indianapolis.

Maybe for your local area. I am calling for a warmer than normal winter and super dry for 8 months. Already been dry for 2 months and 6 more to go for my local area.

First cold snap coming right after Thanksgiving like it does almost every year. We will have highs 10°+ below avg by early next week. Looking at just 62° Monday and Tuesday (norms are 73° Monday and 72° Tuesday)

I've had a good summer and a great autumn this year. I'm hoping for a cold snowy pattern this winter
