Looking over both climates I change my mind. Liverpool's summers dont even reach 70f which is depressing! And its winters are still too cold so you're gonna need a coat either way whether you are in Nova Scotia or the UK. It would need winter highs of like at least 12°c to make up for that summer. So I pick Nova Scotia, at least you get a few months of 70 degree weather
Parts of Scotland had more than 25 days of rain in August. Some of these wet, mild oceanic climates in NW Scotland and NW England received nearly 30 inches of rain in December last year, and many towns and villages were devastated by the worst flooding in living memory. Some people have had their homes flooded out several times in the past few years. Some people had their homes flooded out more than once in the same month. These types of events seem to be increasing in frequency and potency.
They are generally the result of years of neglect. Poor river management, building homes in flood plains, etc. Rather than that part of the world being exceptionally wet.
