Charleston experiences a wider variety of weather phenomena compared to Brisbane, it's less boring imo. I imagine thunderstorms occur with more frequency and greater intensity in Charleston as well.

They're both good, A and A+, resp. The latter is a bit more interesting, it already hit -9C this season. FY has gotten some frosts too I think.

Wow. Never expected to see anyone have someplace as extreme as Oymyakon as a dream climate. I can understand Fort Yukon, but Oymyakon seems quite unusual. Is there any story behind it or anything?

I like cold weather, especially extremes. Temps above -10C are pretty boring to me. Whenever I'm in NY, the days of the year which fail (or almost fail) to go above that mark are the climatological highlight of my year, and I often take trips to experience sub -20C and enjoy the snowy scenery. So, I'd simply feel satisfied living in a climate that is consistently below that mark for half the year. Antarctica and Siberia are the places that fascinate me the most, would be great to travel there some day.

I think Brisbane is the most perfect climate on Earth, but I find Charleston more interesting and exciting. I'd be (extremely) happy in either climate.
I think those two would probably be at my top as well, brisbane seems absolutely amazing climate and very warm sea temps year round and one of the best climates in the world, charleston has an amazing microclimate and vegetation, warm water beaches and some gorgeous architecture in historic Charleston .

There are alot of tropical climates I love as well for the amazing vegetation. tropical climates are tough as so many are in places with a dearth of air conditioning. nets around my bed for bugs and hot nights trying to fall asleep are not something I enjoy much

Dallas isn't bad, but Brisbane is even better.

Most of the United States is pure junk, climate-wise. My climate is a D (except for this warmer and wetter than normal September ), and there's a lot worse.

For me you are right on two out of three stated above. Not sure about Charleston having amazing vegetation imo. Around 8 out of every 10 palm tees there are sabal palmetto, 1 out of 10 Butia, and a hard to find smattering of the other palms. I think there are around 10 CIDP in the whole of the downtown lol. They have warm water for 6 months out of the year, cold the rest.

As far as looks though Charleston is beautiful I agree.
