chicagogeorge: extremophile that wants the hottest summers possible and the coldest winters possible. Probably wants to live in a climate that's even more continental than Chicago.
I'm not saying you're ignorant, but this and your comment that 10k Jews in Leeds is not that much, you seem to have no idea how few Jews there actually are in Europe. In Finland there's 3000 Jews at the most, so I have a hard time to regard Jewish as an distinct ethnicity. There's over two times more Finns in Europe than Jews.
dunno said one of the largest in the world not Europe. Yes I did have an idea, but that was kinda my point; outside of France and London, Europe doesn't have much of a Jewish population.

It is in the top 100 globally for its Jewish population. How is that not one of the largest in the world, when you consider how many cities actually exist? Yes, it pales in comparison to US cities but that was not my point at all, and you know it. It isn't a game of one upmanship.

It shows the ****ty way some countries have treated Jewish people throughout the centuries

I like baguettes too, but that wasn't what I meant. a Baguette is an ethnic "slur" we use for French people, usually in a friendly manner and not mean. It's like 'Frogs' and 'Rosbifs'.
Italians are 'Macaronis' and Norwegians 'Cods'.
oh yeah, I know that. I wish we had a word for Finns
Looking at the stats on Wikipedia, I like it, but the rain is too heavy. I prefer it to be in the 700-1300 mm range.
