Inukjuak is amazingly bad for 58N, especially compared to southern Sweden at same latitude, yikes.
Mean annual temp -7C / 20F.
Places in the BC interior at 50-51N are the best.
Kamloops, Spences Bridge, Shalath, Lytton,
all with mean annual temps around 10C / 50F
Long sunny warm summers, much better than anywhere in the U.K.,
with not cold winters and early springs, nice combo.

Hmmm, well they may have warm average highs in the summer, but the average lows are chilly (compared to the highs) & winters may not be cold by Canadian standards, but they are very cold by UK standards...

Southern U.K. is much more mild in winter but summers aren't as warm,
if you want to grow palms it's much better.
Here is a comparison of Spences Bridge,BC and
Portsmouth South Sea (mildest area of Portsmouth) and Powell River, BC
All at 50N
Spences Bridge much warmer summer (though lows are similar to Portsmouth),
Powell River is mild in winter (cooler than Portsmouth, with slightly warmer summer highs),
Powell River is on BC's "Sunshine Coast"....has a very sunny summer
with annual sunshine hours close to 2000 hrs, similar to Portsmouth,
which is in the sunniest area of Britain.
Portsmouth has one of the best climates 50 to 60N
but I still prefer Spences Bridge or Kamloops for the better summer,
also Powell River has pretty good climate too.
If summer highs in 29-30C range are too hot,
Lytton could be a good compromise,
Lytton is slightly milder in summer than Kamloops or Spences Bridge,
and is also slightly cooler in summer with average highs 27-28C.
Lytton is also a degree or two milder in winter than Kamloops, milder lows.
Kamloops, and the rest of south-central BC, have very good climates. I'd give it a B+.
Good to see Campbell Is get some well-deserved attention. However, in the data-lean southern oceans at these latitudes, there are certainly locations which are much colder (but possibly less cloudy). However I'm happy to put Campbell as provisional winner in the southern latitude band in the absence of much data.
Schefferville Quebec at 54° is a good competition for the worst climate too. Im surprised its so horrible considering the latitude, even by Eastern Canada standards its a fugly climate!

Lows are pretty much meaningless because you're sleeping when it's 15C in July in Kamloops or Spences Bridge. By the time you actually head outside, it's well into the 20s, and it stays that way until you go to bed.
Eg. Here's a typical day in the southern interior of BC: Lillooet, with a high of 30 and a low of 15. 22 by 9, and still 24 at 10 pm (followed by a below average low of 12 the next morning).
I am wondering why nobody has said anything about Fair Isle. It is the worst, mostly due to the lack of seasonal differences. It's a place where you can call it "spring" when the sun is up for more than 12 hours and "autumn" when the sun is up for less than 12 hours...
