Heading back to Brisbane for a month. Quite a difference in weather between where I'm leaving from and where I'm going to.

Here's what I'm leaving behind (Edmonton):

Here's what I'm heading into (Brisbane):

Holy ****, I think Melbourne might be crazier in terms of temp changes than the Midwest.... just checked there forecast and it's all over the place. 1 day in the 60s, 1 in 90s, some 70s, some 80s.

4 seasons in one day, haha, the old adage must be true.

Similar thing happened here, was supposed to be 20/43C, then the low was upgraded to 26C, then the last forecast was 23/40C. Low ended up being 20C and the high 38.5C. The ****ing southerlies came through much earlier with more cloud than expected. There's a surprise

It was amazing reading all the hysteria on the Australian Weather Forum about that day in Vic, banging on about how hot and windy and dangerous it is going to be, what a ****ing fizzer

When you're drunk you can't taste it anyway so I guess it's alright. Get some Mercury Cider (the one in the Red and black bottles). ****ing beautiful on a warm/hot day.

Some extremely dumb **** like that has to happen for me to complain. Also this spring was horrible.

Overall though, January had 14 days over 30C and only 3 over 35C, so at least there was some consistency, and temps for the month ended up average with slightly above average sun and below average rain in our driest month so technically I can't complain too much. Unfortunately every other day was like 24C lol

At $19 a jug, pubs are only for Happy hours - beer is pricey here.

Duly noted. Looks like warming up again by the weekend, so will check out Mercury -always keen on a refreshing cider.

A fantastic contrast. Would be great to experience either way.
