I believe Sydney's skyline is more distinct thanks to the AMP tower, Chifly tower and Deutsche Bank Place, which give it a unique look. But that's just me.
Apart from the skyline thing, I agree with this. I prefer Melbourne's skyline (bias or whatever, you decide) but Melbourne has the culture and Sydney has the flashiness. It's always been like that and I wouldn't change it.

Sydney is definitely better-known, and a lot of people think it's the capital of Australia, but people know Melbourne exists as well - and like I mentioned before, people I know who've been to both think Melbourne is the better city. By all accounts it's a petty cool place with a lot of cultural activities, while Sydney is more of a money obsessed/flashy city. It's like comparing Frankfurt to Berlin, in a sense?

Sydney has a really nice natural setting though.

Lost in the flood of the cyclone was the fact that Brisbane reached a maximum of only 25.8°C March 30. Not only was that the "coolest" day since October 24, 2016, it was the first maximum below 80°F (26.7°C) since November 1, 2016 (149 days prior).

That's nothing to crow home about considering the March average high is 29.0C, plus being the end of the month.

It's dropping the temperature by 12C in some parts and I forgot to bring a jacket to work. Rookie mistake
