National Weather Service : Observed Weather for past 3 Days : Little Rock, Adams Field

Just one example, go back to the 4th and it was around 10 C and raining in mid-afternoon.

Why do you have to prove how "cold" South America is in every post? You always feel the need to compare like it makes a difference in your life if North America is colder for its latitude. It gets old.

Not only South America, but most of Southern Hemisphere have colder record lows in late spring/summer than Northern Hemisphere

Who cares? People don't like cold weather in late spring and summer. I don't know why this is such a personal topic for you lol your obsession and jealousy of North American winters is kinda funny.

No, it's just South America for him. He's competitive with other "cold" southern hemisphere places too. Lol. I've tried bringing up comparatively cool Australian climates but he refuses to acknowledge them where he'd say that "Balmaceda has gotten colder records so it's colder", when its averages don't differ much from the coldest Aussie places. I mean, that's like saying "Melbourne is warmer than LA" because its gotten higher records. It's just ingenuous and illogical.

Balmaceda is 6B/6A hardiness zone, some years even lower, what other low elevated place here in Southern Hemisphere(Outside Antarctic) have such low hardiness zone?
When some of thoses random "cold oceanic" high altitude place in Australia get a winter month like that we can talk again :

People who are from Europe, how was the winter there in 1929?

North-Western Turkey had too extreme record lows in February 1929.

İzmit had a record low of -18*C in February 1929.
İstanbul had a record low of -16.1*C in February 1929
Bursa had a record low of -25.7 in February 1929
Bolu had a record low of -34*C in Feburary 1929

Those temperatures are too extreme by North-Western Turkey standards.

Since wikipedia uses ''1950 to 2015'' and ''1960 to 2012'' climate datas, record lows are so much warmer.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%B0zmit
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bursa
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolu

Our met office started using ''1926 to 2016'' climate datas in 2017 and those record lows in February 1929 were so f***ing extreme.

İstanbul: https://mgm.gov.tr/veridegerlendirme...spx?m=ISTANBUL
Bursa: https://mgm.gov.tr/veridegerlendirme...k.aspx?m=BURSA
Bolu: https://mgm.gov.tr/veridegerlendirme...ik.aspx?m=BOLU

You just found the most bipolar month ever. It's not fair.

I doubt the average month in Balmaceda looks like that.

"low altitude"

South America, and Australia for that matter, do have stronger summer cold snaps than North America but North America "wins" in every other season. Not sure why this bothers you.

North America is thousands of times colder than South America, but the cold snaps here in Southern Hemisphere is frequent in summer, it is everything I want to say.

I'm studying the climate and vegetation of Southern Hemisphere for years and what I mean is, Balmaceda has the highest potential to get very cold days between any other town in Southern Hemisphere, and it is not because it is from South America..
And you are right, isnt every year that it get thoses very cold temperatures(below -20C), but at least 3 or 4 times each decade, look that, say me another low elevated place(outside Antarctic) like that and I give up.
