C.

It's alright. Don't like the precipitation pattern. Summers are pleasant. Winters are a bit too cool.

With 10-12 days of rain, not precipitation, in winter and 6-7" in those months, that is a lot of rain. Rochester gets mostly snow in winter and only 3-4 days of rain in those months. And in summer, we may get 10 days of rain, but it's relatively brief. With 7" on 12 days, the rain in this place seems to fall over a long period of time-at least several hours. Endless rain is an exaggeration, but several hours of cold rain nearly every other day is far more than I want.

Winter is too mild and rainy, summer is too cool and dry.
Not bad overall, tho.

"A" for me, nearly perfect amount of rain, enough cool in the winter to wear a sweater but the rest of the year mild and delightful.

A-, very nice climate. It's just a couple of degrees too cool year round, or it would be A+

It would be a little better with some more summer heat. But you do have a point. It does have very few precipitation days compared to a quick comparison to some Mediterranean climates surrounding Perth and the actual Mediterranean with similar rainfall totals.

A. Although I prefer even more so the weather just slightly the north in the whole Napa/Sonoma region, which is just fantastic. Cool but not cold winters, but you still get some freezes and even a chance of snow every few years (more than so San Rafael anyway which is closer to the moderating ocean influence and much less likely to see the white stuff). Either way, summers are sunny, warm but not unreasonably hot, and endlessly pleasant.

I agree the lack of thunderstorms (or any rain at all) in the summer can get a bit boring at times, but you get your fill of storms in the cooler months.

It's really a lovely place to live, very scenic, lots to do, and almost always reasonable weather to be out in year-round unless you're in the midst of a strong winter storm and it's just too rainy.

Solid B+ climate.

The only detractions for me are the extremely dry and too cool-ish summers, the rest is excellent, especially for the Bay Area.
