Nice cool and cloudy day here with a high of 56 F/13 C...seasonal. Had some rain this evening. Warmer tomorrow and Friday with highs above 20 C, but then cooling off again this weekend. Nothing out of the ordinary.
In this part of the world, cold is the default while warm is temporary.
What a crock of bull****. Summer is much more of a guarantee in Jersey than winter. Let me know whenever you get 40 F lows in summer like you get 60 or even 70 F highs on occasion in winter.
You guys had a record warm Jan/Feb, a cold March, and are having a near record warm April and people are still whining and bitching. Unbelievable.

I think that the string of very cold spring months here in the recent years have made Northeasterners cynical and distrustful of the climate, particulalry in Spring. It's easy to lose faith in the climate after numerous March blizzards, near freezing highs in April, and freezing rain in May. I think that a warm April, the first warm April in more than half a decade for many parts of the Northeast, might make the people here believe again

You're describing Upstate NY though, I highly doubt anywhere in NJ has seen "freezing rain" recently in May.
Also, like 80% of the last two years up there has been above normal, wayyyyy above in some cases. I think "losing faith" is way over dramatic.
