Today... 80 Charlotte 67 Raleigh 90 columbia.... tomorrow.... 90 Charlotte 80 raleigh..... absolute bs.... all because of some icy arctic winds and rain off of arctic Chicago and further north. Average high here reaches 80 next week... this is insane and disgusting,.also 67 is very conservative odds are high will barely break 60 if even that, extremely well below normal.
Another lovely day here with a high of only 56 F/13 C and low of 34 F/1 C. Felt very nice walking around outside today. Even the strong May sun couldn't warm us up very much.
Frost Advisory in effect for tonight. One of the best starts to May in recent memory with all the rain and cool temperatures. Hopefully the rain in the forecast for this weekend will come to fruition. Keep it coming! There will be more than enough warm and sunny weather all summer.
Even if May, June, July, August, and September are above average it will not be enough. My ideal summers have average highs in May close to 87°F and in JJA between 95°F and 98°F. Even though I like cold winters like you do I want a rapid warm up in March, April, and May. Turpan has the closest climate to my ideal climate.
