Binghamton has only had two highs above 60F this May. The average at this point of the year is mid-60s

A little bit of a difference between GFS and CFSv2 in the 6-10 and especially 11-15 day

CFSv2 brings a backdoor cool front for the Northeast at this time period

and also cools Central US because of excessive rain during the 11-15 day

But seems as if the eastern Midwest/Lower Great Lakes won't see very much precip according to the GFS

89 F with a 65 F dew point right now and sunny. Hot and sunny. I guess NWS was right after all.

"Only" 93 F in Orlando right now, thought they'd reach upper 90s today.

Syracuse is at -7.0 departure with each of the last four days having -13 departures. Binghamton has had -10 departures five days last week. And it's gonna get worse before it gets better, they're predicting a mammoth arctic blast this Saturday with the high potentially -20 below average

I have the sinking feeling this is going to be a hot and dry summer. I mean why wouldn't it? This climate does anything in it's power to disappoint me.

Ditto. The worst possible outcome would be 89F highs everyday, 85F lows, 0.00 precipitation, 90% humidity, and long-lasting periods of neverending sun followed by long-lasting periods of neverending gray skies

Said it twice, I feel like it's worth saying it again. I feel Florida is going to see a lot of wildfires this summer. Not good. Southern GA and SC too.

That sounds like personal torture.

Ideal would be 92 F highs, 70 F lows, 15" of precipitation each summer month with 2/3rds of days having thunderstorms.

Just Gray and Dull here at 59°F at 3:30pm. DC in the 50s too. Wish I was in Albany
