Currently 58 and sunny. Very nice out. May 1-15 averaged 50.4 and was the 26th coldest. Now the month is averaging 53.3, the 53rd coldest and only 1.8 degrees below average. After the first 10 days, the average high was 9 degrees below average, now its only 4. The average low is actually above average now.

And look at the precipitation switch:

May 1-7: 3.17", 5 days
May 7-20: 0.20", 2 days

The first week of May was the 2nd wettest on record but the period since then has been the 14th driest.

Omg this this this this this so hard! Please no more of this "50s to 90s" bull****

I want bigger departures in July and August tho. Instead of the typical 80-90 in NYC I would prefer 65-105 spread, Australia/Argentina style

Yea, that band was that long and only create strong storms in small spots. Severe weather along a cold fronts tends to be widespread and severe?

Btw, the heat melted almost all the snow in the Whites, though you can see patches from the webcam:

6 people out on the summit deck, they don't look like hikers. The cog railway and road up the mountain opens in early May, though I assume it closed last weekend from all the snow? East side has large snow patches on the slope:

Nah, I like stable summers. Moderate heat is nice, and a high in the 60s is too cool for summer IMO, and very hot temperatures make it hard to do stuff outside comfortably.

Jeez, big temperature difference from here, high of 70°F & low humidity. Breezy.

An average May would be nice. Even an average June isn't bad as long as it's not too humid.

I like variable summers but a high in the 60s is too cool. In my dream climate, highs range from 64-99 in June, 73-103 in July and 70-102 in August on average.

Stability is nice, but I love the excitement of an Argentinian summer. Argentina and Australia are a climatic utopia for me. Like the Meditarranean, but even better

Even a low in the low/mid 60's is too cool for me in the summer. Highs in the mid 80's to mid 90's, and lows in the low to upper 70's are ideal for me.

I greatly appreciate our stable summers, I need it after our wildly variable winters and springs.

I could understand that. For me, anything above 20C is nice, altho I do prefer an average high of 30C
