Insane... still in 20s from Atlanta north. This is definitely exceptional.... absolutely insane. Beyond insane even I can't recall any day like this ever.... oh and 110% clear skies. The 850s are at record breaking levels I believe.

Not really, most locations are around their average minimum March temperature.

In mid March???? This is pretty substantial to stay this cold this long. I may be wrong but I can't recall staying under freezing at 10 am in March. Will be mid day before we go above. That is insane... average low is 40. Tonight is worse.... it is not normal to have this many lows at our minimum March temp....

March is not even one degree below average so far in Raleigh and, with the warmth forecast at the end of the month, may even end up above average. Your record March low is 11F and Raleigh has had multiple march ice days before, an ice day would be exceptional, a couple days of cold weather with a high of 40F is not at all exceptional, it may not happen every year, but it's not exceptional. If you want an example of an "exceptional" month, look at this February, Warmest February on record by an astounding 0.6F, That's exceptional lol.

What you're saying is like me saying that this January was "Exceptionally warm" while a month like December 2010 (Our coldest December on record with a mean of 59.8F) was not unusual.

59F here right now at 10:00 A.M

It's very cold in Florida, and very unusual for the time of year.

This was the 8am temps (not actual lows). Cold morning all the way to the south. Well below normal for mid March.

Here's what it feels like with the wind

Temps Zoomed out. HUGE Upper Low Vortex in Northeast and digging trough with Arctic air in Eastern U.S

No it's not. Especially in the part of Florida that I live in.

Only dropped to 55 F last night, kind of disappointing considering the predicted low was 52 F.

That doesn't stop endless amounts of morons from whining though we just had our warmest February on record, one of our warmest winters and people are complaining about the "cold"...... God, I really ****ing hate people.

This was mainly because of two things. 1. Cool air at lower levels didn't advect in as quickly as models predicted and 2. Some unexpected moisture and cloud cover lagged behind the front making it difficult for the temperature to drop. The low was 56F here

Tonight should drop to at least as cool as is being forecast.

Yeah I know, I saw that annoying ass cloud cover towards the late night. It was odd how it dropped to 60 F already by midnight and only dropped five degrees further.
