Walked around trying to find a certain bowling alley for like 40-60 minutes when it was -15 outside, a small wind, and I had only a jacket on. No hat, no gloves, and nothing but jeans. It was cold.
Walking around D.C. and the nearby historical sites back in July 2012. It was 104-106 with dews in the low 70s. Many things were outside and there was no shade and it was miserable. The museums were a nice break but there's only so long you can spend on a museum and of course, we had to get from one to another.

Probably when I was visiting Rochester, NY for the holidays after I had moved away, and in early January of 2004 before I went back to Phoenix, there was like 4-5 days straight of highs in the single digits above 0 and lows in the single digits below 0 (normal highs were around 32 with normal lows around 17 so it was cold even for Rochester)
-20 in northern Pennsylania in the 1970s. Spit hit the ground like a rock.
120 degrees in Death Valley, Ca. Even when the wind blew it was very hot. I had to take shelter from the wind.
March 2010 Nor'easter. We were on the highway and trees were falling left and right, a branch hit the car but did no damage, luckily. And then we were on a bridge in heavy traffic and winds were lifting the car off the road, got off the bridge safely and waves were spilling over the side of the highway. And all of this was only half of what happened that night.
We'll be getting a similar storm on Monday and I'm not going anywhere.
When I was in university in Ottawa... having to wait for the bus for an hour to go to class because I didnt have a car and it was -40 with the windchill. I think I actually got a minor case of frostbite because I couldnt feel my hands and feet for several hours afterwards and they were pasty and discoloured. Now everyone understands why I hate the cold so much?
My worst weather experience was being out on Lake Michigan in an open boat with only tarps and umbrellas for protection during a nasty thunder storm. I was never more convinced in my life that I was going to die that day. It was terrifying.
I live in the Phoenix area and was here the day it hit 122F (and 120F just last summer). My A/C died shortly thereafter. Thought I was going to die from the heat. Those poor A/C repairmen!
The coldest I've experienced was -35 windchill in Fargo, ND. Visiting my now former in-laws and took my gloves off to take a picture of a frozen lake with a beautiful sunset. I can see how frostbite can set in quickly. Got a good picture though.
