Personally I favour A Coruña because of it being so comfortable. I'd loved to have Portland's summers there like Pontevedra a bit farther south has, but frequent 22-23C days are not all bad Living where I do, having constant double-digit weather all winter coupled with our summers would seem like a dream come true. Portland would be a bit of an upgrade in some senses, but not "yey"!
Season-lovers as well as those that want some heat, would go for Portland though. As far as humid continental climates go, it's one of my favourites Given how interesting I think this battle is I for once decided to make it a public poll too
I've seen enough of this winter to say with a certainity that I wouldn't want to deal with these or even lower temperatures on a yearly basis. Portland is sunnier and has warmer summers but they are not nearly hot enough to make up for its ice age winters.
Portland. A somewhat cooler and wetter (so slightly worse) version of my climate. A pretty mediocre climate, below average but not bad. A coruña is maritime garbage with dreadful winters and sub par summers.
Yes those 2 climates are pretty good. Better than A Coruna, which admitly isn't a bad climate itself.
